Gift cards: planned availability

Keep existing gift-card obligations outside Pinsot until support is explicitly enabled.

Before you begin

Prerequisites

  • No production access is required because this capability is not generally available.
  • Keep the salon's current approved process and source records in place.
  • Have authority to evaluate future workflow requirements without making client or staff commitments.
Step by step

How to do it

  1. 1

Use the salon's current approved gift-card system.

  2. 2

Do not enter a gift-card payment in Pinsot unless your workspace explicitly supports it.

  3. 3

Keep balances, expiration rules, and redemption records in the salon's source system.

  4. 4

Ask support before planning a migration.

Expected result

You understand the current product boundary, keep the salon's existing process active, and avoid representing the planned capability as available.

Notes
  • Gift-card rules vary by jurisdiction and remain the salon's responsibility.
Warnings
  • Do not represent planned Pinsot support as a current stored-value service.
If something goes wrong

Troubleshooting

  • If a control with a similar name appears, confirm its documented status before entering live salon or client data.
  • Do not migrate balances, commitments, or source records until Pinsot confirms production availability and the salon approves the change.
  • Send the workspace name and a non-sensitive description to support@pinsot.com if the displayed status is unclear.
Support escalation

If the steps do not resolve the issue, email support@pinsot.com from an address associated with your account. Include the salon and location names, approximate time, affected record, expected result, actual result, and safe error text. Remove passwords, verification codes, payment credentials, government identifiers, and unrelated client data.
